January 03, 2008 - First Meeting: January 7th, 6PM

Our Herr Presidente has decided in his benevolent wisdom that we, the little people, will attend the first meeting of the year our lord 2000 and 8, on January 7th, Monday, 6PM. Same spot as always. If you do not know where that is, please head to the forum, go to the BAKA Club section, and see the thread " How to Find BAKA". That should do it.

The meeting will entail either a traditional meeting, which is to say awesome, or, should we have too few people cause they are still hungover from New Years, a special meeting with all sorts of things Random and Awesome. There will be no membership check, and feel free to bring anyone you want to join us.
Come! Laugh! Cry! Doubt! Wonder! Or at the very least, be quietly amused or horrified.

Also, the Week of Welcome may need a volunteer or two to hand out pamphlets and gush appropriately about how awesome BAKA is. Thus we need good swindlers, con-men, and happy-seeming people to lull the wary into joining up. If you feel like gushing, please head to the forum, and in the BAKA Club section I'll put up a volunteer section.

Here's hoping this year is a good one, and we crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and hear the lamentation of their women.

December 04, 2007 - Final Meeting has passed. We'll be back in January!

Thank you all for coming, and I hope you enjoyed what entertainment we have offered. Due to exams and all that, we have finished our Monday showings for this semester. I don't want your grades to suffer because you skipped your final exam to see what happens next in our shows, it'd hurt my conscience.

That said, the office is still active, and the games, anime, and whatever else we decide to do there is still in action. Head there and hang out, watch something, or to strangle some executives, I won't mind.

The forum is where I and much of the executive can be reached, mostly in the BAKA Club Section. Head there if you have questions, requests, complaints, or you wish to volunteer for some inane and soul-crushing task. The Monday shows will start back up in January, as soon as we can filch the rooms back.

Also, we have a "Winter Event", a con with an as yet thought up name (I wants it to be 'GeekFest' personally, but there are some naysayers wanting something "cool" or somesuch). We have rooms planned, things to show and do, and maybe some vendors if one is crazy enough to listen to a budding Con such as ours. In the forum there's a 'Winter Event' section if you want to hear and see the planning, or wish to volunteer and join the ranks of our minions.

Here's hoping your Holidays go well, and that you lasso more friends/relatives/pets to join the BAKA club in January!

November 19, 2007 - A Quick Reminder

Please take your garbage with you when you leave. And also, please clean up any garbage you see around you. As we are the the last to use the room, we have been blamed for other classes garbage. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and all that.

November 16, 2007 - New Web Site! New Forums! New President!

Free from the University's Goose Stepping Internet "Regulations" we can, and have, updated the website (albeit more like taken the old one out back and shot it), built a forum into the site (Much faster, more control, and no more "Male Enhancement" Ads), and in the spirit of Glasnost, got us a new president.

I kid, I kid. We've installed him as an Emperor.
(Take THAT Mister "Make me into a member for life" Vargas }:-> )

Anyhoo, the forum is up, though I have yet to add a custom template for it yet, avatars are in and soon custom Smilies. We will be adding more as our new President, Jon, officially takes power on Monday. On that note, the current schedule is in the forum, Baka Club Section.
Here's to you all!

Kampai!

September 2007 New Monday Meetings

Another year, another set of new Monday meetings. Regular meetings begin this Monday, September 10th from 6:00pm to 9:00 om in Education Building, Room 165. And yes I will try and get the room changed.
