Though I remain saddened that it's so difficult to find people with my level of .... yes lets use the word appreciation.... I can understand it, I mean the game has got to be over 4 years old now - there's been at least 3 or 4 Tales games since. Thats what you get for clinging to a love of something older that didn't have an excessively large fanbase to begin with Oh well ~ I won't be deterred by that alone!!!

Good characterization goes a long way. Each of the party members were unique without being caracatures(sp) of the archetype, and in Luke's case - a total deconstruction of the generic Spiky-Haired hero.

I agree - and I also really liked their characterization of the villains. Most of them had very believable motivations and it was easy to see how they were trying to do what they felt was best even if it was extreme. It really boiled down to a conflict of ideas as to whether it really was possible to escape the Planet's memory. Yes I have never quite hated a villain quite as much as I've hated Van.... but I still have to respect that he was a very well developed character.

A crack!dub of Tales of the Abyss in which Luke is a camera hog and Tear can't sing (only ep 1 so far) ~ highly amusing and the dub is reasonably well done.

I know! What do you think makes me crave more?? I certainly don't have said tools at my disposal for my own personal use at home, now do I? Thus I will just have to make due as best I can once I have a salary.

Larry Shaw, inventor of Pi Day, is rolling in his grave. Or would be if he were dead. Seriously, the guy's awesome. I asked him where he came up with the idea, and the first words out of his mouth were, "Well, it all started when we started talking about Pi as an interdimensional rotator..." and got weirder from there. The Infinite Improbability Drive was involved. Now, the celebration involves Pi, a parade of Pi's digits, and a Mac Plus singing the digits to Pomp and Circumstances.

XD that sounds like a conversation I would love to just listen to, but that would make my head hurt. Though he should look on the bright side, more people will know about pi day than will ever celebrate Cosine day.

I actually haven't ever played ToV - never owned nor plan to own an Xbox. If anything I'm unfairly biased against it cause it's release marked a vast shrinking in the Abyss fandom as everyone moved on to the next game. Taisa will implode though - she loves Vesperia.
