Take Tom Clancy's Earth. You know, The Hunt for Red October and the like? Drop it into the Battle Tech universe 30 years before the Clans invade.

It's far more awesome than it sounds.

In an epic crossover the Yondaime sacrifices his life to seal the Daemon Lord Kyuubi into a child. Detecting no taint on the boy, Lord Inquisitor Drakken takes the child with him to Mother Terra (not to be confused with Holy Terra) to be molded and/or executed as required. Years later a fateful encounter occurs with the Lord Governor's youngest daughter, Takamichi Nanoha. What the young daemonhost doesn't know is his guardian and protector is about to fall in the line of duty and there is a squad of Grey Knights living down stairs.
Read it, before the Crom-Empress gets bored.

Is sadly incomplete.

:hero: The awesome, it arrives!

Aeon Natum Engel has updated.

Yes, I've rec'd it before but the crazy awesome continues, even if it got worse.

Ha! Due to a point about the visual acuity of Deep Ones and the physical impossibility of seeing IR underwater, EarthScorpion and I had a conversation that basically turned into 'Things the researchers at Project Herkunft are no longer allowed to do'. It involved telekinetic, photokinetic mantis shrimp, which may eventually enter into the story.

:pounce: just :pounce:

I should probably also link the forum discussion thread. EarthScorpion (the author) has been rather verbose (and very obtuse) in the comments following this chapter. Really, the various what if's being thrown around are quite fun to watch.

Forum thread here.

Link goes to page 1, the most recent chapter starts on the end of page 29.

Ah, ANE.

What do you get when you combine Eva, Cthulu, F.E.A.R, and a bit of Nanoha for flavour?

Ah, ANE, we hardly knew you.

Having decided to do a rewrite from the start, ANE is no longer updating. In fact, the author was kind enough to write a conclusion to the story for us. :splee:

It's par for the course for this universe mind you so.....

The good news is that the prologue of the rewrite is up and chapter 1 is well on it's way, found here as Aeon Entelechy Evangelion. Pretty sure it's also on his FF.net page if you don't like the forum thread, but I don't have the link handy.

I'm also going to recommend a Crest/Banner of the Stars story called Evolution. It chronicles the entry of a confusing new enemy into the war and Lafiel and Jinto's fight against it.

As always, more to come as I find the goods.

This thread still alive?

Anyways, The Deva Series has updated. Still the best Nanoha fanfic I have found, even if Hayate is arguably the main character. Note: Link goes to the newest chapter of the 4th story in the series, you'll need to backtrack if you're not up to date.

Also worth reading is Mahoranma. Arguably a crack-fic, it starts out with Ranma being stuck a girl and so Genma washes his hands of him and sticks him in an all girls school. Of course he gets stuck in the class taught by a 10-year old named Negima. It then gets crazier from there.

For a more straight up drama, here's a novelization of how the author saw the Negima group trip would go. Now AU as the manga took a different direction, it's still a very good straight up drama. Ala Alba in the World of Magic.

And that's enough for now I suppose. :fanboy:

/wanders off.

Attempting to apply logic to Harry Potter magic is an adventure in surreality for all involved

While not technically fanfiction, something this hilarious just has to be posted.

There is a site, "Bad Translator!". What it does, is that it feeds a section of text into babelfish, and then translates it back. And then cycles it through all 54 languages in the database.

There is a site, Fanfiction.net that has short paragraphs, better known as story summaries, that are just the perfect length.

When you combine the two, you get one Diazo who's ROTFLMAO (literally, stupid wheels on my computer chair) and this hilarious forum thread.

Hey Steve, I am poking you because you keep saying that you will post amusing fanfics you have found and you never do!

Also, I updated my Warhammer 40k/Naruto crossover.

Ah, a carrot and a stick... of words anyways.
My big problem is that, while I do read a heck of a lot, I tend to forget to keep as many links as I should.

Old Gendo's Game.
Gendo is damn near always evil in every story he's in. What if there was a real good reason why?

Seven Village Stomp
Ranma and Genma get a wee bit lost. A pure Romp.

The Devil's Bleached Tears
A single throwaway scene early in a manga that eventually devolved from Ghostbusters (with swords!) into Dragonball (with swords!)
Hell, what could have been sometimes...

The Full Metal Bitch
This was an interesting one. I won't say anything about it though.

Big Human on Campus
An excellent romp. Take Ranma 1/2, kick him out of school, take Rosario+Vampire and dump him there. Take Villains from every anime series and make them professors, some with PTSD. Have no one believe that Ranma is human due to the fact that he keeps kicking the crap out of monsters.
Also has scenes like this:
Quote:
"Gah! Ranma! One of the spiders got in!" Tsukune called from the other side of the door.
Ranma frowned. "So? Either shoo it outside or kill it!" Really, Tsukune was kind of a wimp, but freaking out over spiders? The school really must've been getting to him after all.
"I can't! It's too big!" came the ordinary boy's frantic shout.
"Yeah, I'm sure it's huge. Just get a shoe or something!" Ranma shouted back, sinking further into the water.
"It has a HEALTH BAR!"
Ranma immediately jumped out of the water, tying a towel around his waist with one hand while grabbing a plunger with the other. "Dammit. This place has problems."
The Dark Lords of Nerima
With all the Sailor Moon things happening in the Ranma world, and not wanting to join the "good" guys for various reasons, the only choice is to become a third party in a two side race. Well done and still ongoing.

Uprooted
With all those there mangas and animes with the hero beating the crap out of a villain and suddenly becoming friends (which happens in so many shows it ain't even funny), it's nice to see someone attempt to weaponize it. Quite funny.

Nothing but Trouble
This one is a very well written, ongoing series about what is far more likely to happen when you have demonically powered ninjas and give them a teensy bit more brain power to realize that you can always carve a niche for yourself elsewhere instead of having to make do with scraps in your hometown. Features an almost Chuck Norris feel, though instead of "Walk or Kill" it's more of "Drunk or Kill". Also features Bingo Night with Ninjas.

HJ Potter
It's short, and it made me laugh. Also makes a fair amount of sense if your brain is a little twisted.

The Truth Decays
This is a mix I've seldom seen, and even rarer to be done well. It is done well, make no mistake. If only it'd come out faster...

Harry Potter and the Royal Mint
The defeat of the Dark Lord shall come one cent at a time!

Scorpion's Disciple
Again, a single comment, on a single page of a manga about an event that, when expanded upon, throws the whole series out of whack.
In Naruto, it's mentioned that Orochimaru left a certain organization, and it is also mentioned that he had a partner. Did they just shake hands and part happily? Hell no, there had to be a fight, and if you stop and think about it, knowing the characters as the advances of the manga have given, it's almost obvious that things would have been different than it was.
Only one problem though, the writer has a hard time with tenses. It's more obvious in the earlier chapters, and he is getting someone to help edit them out. Still a very good read and one that takes the characters in directions I've never seen before.

Poison Pen
If you step back and use your noggin for anything other than hammering nails into planks, you'll notice that the Harry Potter world is kinda... broken in a crapsack way. Now what if one stood back and actually commented about this, and a newspaper decided to publish it? The pen is truly mightier than the wand!

Anything and Everything
This is something I'd like to have more written about. I will warn you this isn't the nicest fic out there.

A Village Hidden in Hope
Your typical run of the mill Star Wars & Naruto Crossover. Cause you know, Ninjas stabbing Wookies is common as dirt...

Lord Ranma
I like this one, if only because the Villains are intelligent AND because it's about damn time someone realized the sheer awesomeness of thinking
What if, the villain of the week in Sailor Moon was nothing more than bait to keep the Senshi from realizing that there is more than one General and that they hit the whole world? What if they put ads in the papers in S&M Magazines and people pay them for the "service" of getting their energy drained? What if Queen Beryl was completely batshit insane?
Quote:
"Hrm... I see. Just how 'unhinged' are we talking here?" Cologne asked carefully.
"Her most recent order was for Zoicite to fetch her a large crate full of Belgian Chocolates."
"That doesn't sound so-"
"And then destroy Belgium, and I quote, 'that none less deserving might taste of such confectionary delight'." He paused, then continued in a pained monotone. "'Ohohohoho'."
"That... is far less encouraging than I had hoped." Cologne admitted frankly.

At least 85% pure awesomesauce.

Red Moon
Take Sailor Moon. Add Communism. Shake and pour over crushed ice and tears.
bonus points if you realize that technically, due to magic, that communism is actually possible.

And lastly, for Rhad, I give you [This].
I commands you, take this idea and run like Al Bundy during his final game with four Touchdowns in one Game! But before he married Peg

That oughta do for a start anyways. I'm getting hungry, I'll go eat and maybe do some more later.

Additional credit has to go out to fanfic writer Mister Cynical, with such award winning series such as:
Shinji vs the Cyborg Pirates of the Caribbean
Shinji vs the Nazi Vampires in Space
    Shinji vs the Zombie Terrorists
    and the gripping
    Shinji vs Santa Claus
    :p

An amazing fan fic, if Marvel was smart they would bind this and sell it. Also it looks like it was written by a profesional screenwriter (Max Landis). Siriusly, it's for got you were going to go to anime club tonight good and can't fall asleep until 4am good (True Story).

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3552961/19/ ... Weird_Ways
A decent SG-1/Warhammer 40k crossover. The timeline for events is entirely unreasonable, but whatever.

Finally, how I'm finding good fan fics these days.

A series of oneshots by Sarah1281 where the plot holes of Harry Potter are pointed out in a comedic fashion.

A oneshot where Sarah1281 rips kishmoto a new one on the current arc of Naruto.

Full Metal Berserker
Hot Damn it updated!
The only Berserk / Full Metal Alchemist Crossover on FFnet, and it's wonderfully well written.
Homunculus and Apostle, Automail and Gut's Arm Cannon, Violence aplenty and plot, such a decent plot.

Griffith decides to finish off Gut's early after their meeting after the Count. With some interference from the Skull Knight, and a little... sacrifice Guts Casca and Puck make it to the FMA world.
And this, this opens up a whole kettle of worms.

A warning though, this is not the nicer, softer Guts that has the friends and the fancy armor and can go a whole day without the world shatting hell upon him. No, this is the earlier Berserk, where simply living means mercy has to come a distant third to pragmatism and expediency.

I have found two fics where befriending will be taken to a whole new level of devastation:

Takamachi Nanoha of 2814 - Nanoha with a Crom damn Green lantern ring, an artifact of unimaginable destructive capabability controlled by raw willpower

The White Devil of the Moon - Just before she completed her spell to send the souls of those in her kingdom into the future, Queen Serenity coughed and thus the soul of her daughter went slightly off target. After a year of desperately fighting off the reawakened Beryl, the Senshi finally discover their Princess... who is currently on leave for magical exhaustion and defended by a very concerned Fate
