Blue Drop

It's Gonzo? Hmmm...

Even with the psychopathic strangle-riffic T-800 schoolgirl, it still seems a little lame. We've got the shojou-ai love interest, the Yukari, the Fabio and the Girl With the Mysterious Past (that probably won't nearly be as @#$ed up as Margaret Burton's) who will, over the course of the show, remember everything, wherein "everything" probably means "Mommy and Daddy worked for the UN and because the UN is always bad in anime Captain Harlock--I mean, aliens-- blew up their magic space plane and they died but I became Magical Minty Generic Girl and zapped them yay hey why are you strangling me please stop urk gack dead."

And I suspect that's actually her hair dryer or something. Or that it'll all be evil flowers or stuff.

Do we really need another Higurashi?

Now, if she strangles someone EVERY EPISODE, it might be worth it for the laughs. The plot makes me yawn, and I've yet to see anything of interest in the art style. (Seriously, it makes adults look like they're 97 or something.)

It wasn't bad - whether or not the show is any good - will depend really on whether or not it can break away from the obvious stereotypes it's set up. The show itself is prettily animated - but the plot very much teeters on the edge of a knife - a lot of potential to become cliche~ but who knows, I've seen worse turn out better.

Further research suggests a distinct lack of cybernetic Austrian assassins and a whole lot of girl-on-girl lesbian alien action, with a whole lot of zzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Oh, and the possibility of mass death, but that might be after the series ends.

Mass death~ that's always fun... such a pity about the rest of it though.

Regrettably, the mass death appears to happen off-camera, and is more of the genocidal variety.

Well that's no fun~ they sure now how to ruin it. lol

Blue Drop is weird. That's why I'd like to keep watching.

Besides, it's not like we haven't droped a sereis before based on suktitude. Give it a chance.

lol~ like I said - it's pretty~ I wouldn't object to continuing - I just think its a pity the didn't include the mass genocide =D

The first episode of Blue Drop held my interest (mostly because of the animation), and made me want to keep watching, but after going through a few of the others (it's a short series, after all), nothing very worthy appeared in terms of a plot. As for the potential yuri factor, either I missed the majority of it, or it remains just an increment behind an entertaining level. The music seems to reflect the plot speed, which makes me drowsy. Blue Drop is both short and slow, which is a bad combination. Such a shame, since its artwork is so beautiful.

From what I've heard the manga may be more yuri, and certainly more genocidey/space-battley. Also features tentacles, if you like that thing.

Gross... I could never imagine tentacles in an anime as boring as Blue Drop.

I could see it. The show seems od enough (and at least after the first episode) random enough to support just about anything at this point. XD then again after the
"=D hi nice to meet you"
.............
*gets choked*

I'm ready for random and oddness~
