Juushin Enbu - Hero Tales

I think we could use a good old "Ass Kick" anime. The last one was Nanoha A's.

I'm willing to give this one a try.

And does any one else get bad vibes when the 'sister' dotes on her brother?

It wasn't as bad as it could have been considering, but the first episode felt a lot like a second episode, dropping us right into the action without actually explaining why we should care that these people are dead and what not. Not necessarily a bad way to do things in that it avoids falling into some cliches, but it felt shallower than it could have been.

At least the fights were over with faster than most DBZ mid-fight internal monologues.

XD XD XD XD its sad - but ever so true. I can't say I really minded it - it was amusing at the very least. So long as it doesn't fall into too many of the cliches~ I'd be content.

I think this one could be fun to watch. It wasn't too bad and has some interesting characters that were shown briefly in it that I'm curious about. The Dragon Ball Z moments make me giggle so much and I was happy to see that they didn't (well not as bad) include the redundant power-ups that DBZ had which just make the characters look like there terribly constipated

Someone get them a glycerin suppository stat!

But I'll second we could use another, as it was so wonderfully put, "ass kick" show. Its a pity Nanoha StrickerS takes so flipping long to get going.
