Baccano!
I like how well they use the fact that episodes aren't in chronological order to really keep you in suspense. I love the array of characters - and who wouldn't love a show with episode titles like that XD ~ Very different, and most definitely worth watching.I tolerate it for the Laurel and Hardy pair, but am waiting for the plot to stop so I can get off and vomit. Has almost too many quirky characters in it. And who the smeg names someone Jacuzzi Splot?I feel like I'm getting redundant. I love this one too! Theres so much plot to it and the jumping time frames makes it even more fun to try and piece all the characters together. It's like a jigsaw puzzle!

It's also really fun to go back and watch earlier episodes cause suddenly it's like "He's one too!!!!!!!!!!" Cause you miss things or forget about it and then it comes back and changes everything! I approve of this show. And the into is SOOOOOOOOOO awesome. Love the song and the animation to!
And I like Jacuzzi ...... he's such a woos
Good music and interesting characters, and a really gripping plot with all kinds of surprises. The only major flaw, as I see it, is keeping up with all the jumps in the timeline. I mean, it skips from 1931, to 1930, then 1932 out of nowhere, and on and on like that until you have to dig in your memory to figure out who did what at what time. Still, I feel like I've got to keep watching to come to some sort of overriding factor.I'd say the time jumping really gives it good re-watch value. I'm looking forward to watching the whole thing again after we're done. I'll bet a lot of stuff will jump out and suddenly make sense when you do.That's true. Baccano! is probably one of those shows which is even more enjoyable the second run through. It's also quite accessable. It isn't often you see an anime series about the Mafia. I wouldn't mind reading the novels, if they're translated into English.hmm I'd read the novels as long as they were in order. Watching things out of order doesn't bug me too much, but to read things all jumbled up like that.... would make my head hurt >.>The only thing that lets me keep track of all the plot threads running around is all the soap operas my mom watched, so holding this in my head isn't that hard.
But yes, if it wasn't for Issac and Maria, this show would be near unwatchable. If they aren't immortal, they are awesome enough that they would be anyways.Yeah, watching it I don't have too much trouble. But when I'm reading it and I don't have a face to recognize, I tend to get people mixed up or confused really easily. And with the sheer number of characters in this story - I would find it a difficult book to keep my head wrapped around. As a show, its pretty good. I love Isaac and Maria as well~ them and Firo.Szilard's change in attitude immediately before and after becoming immortal was quite amusing. I think it's kind of a weakness of a show like this, with so many characters, to not really spend enough time on a select few of them (like Firo, who shows a lot of protagonist potential). Still, it's one of the best things we're watching, and it gives off a nice retro feel in more than one way. It's an interesting balance. Since some of the show's appeal is the constant plot and how it's moving continuously and keeps you thinking. In exchange it sacrifices some character development (at least to some extent) ~ but I think in this case it works.
As for Firo, he has his centric episode coming up still from the sounds of the titles.
