Detroit Metal City
Note that when he says "sick," he means "hacking up blood," and by "crude," he means "raw, unprocessed bitumen." There is at least one member of the Friday group who refuses to watch this show -- it can get really, really bad.
Get past that, and you have a reasonably enjoyable picaresque adventure of a young rock star. Most of the jokes revolve around the classic "oh noes my secret identity" trope, with the surprises coming from the sheer depths the main character goes to protect it or stay in character. This one was too crude for me, and without anything else about it that peaked my interest or gave me any desire to put up with the 17 million times they threw the f-word in there among other things... its not something I would follow. In fact I'd run far far away.I'd have to say that it's not one of my preferred shows, however I'd watch it a while, being the person I am (I'll watch almost anything for at least 2 or 3 episodes, at least to give it a chance.). Seems like it has a little bit of potential storyline-wise, and as Steve says, it's definitely a change from the rest of the shows I've seen lately, however I think it could improve on it's delivery of said story.[quote="Executer"]I'd have to say that it's not one of my preferred shows, however I'd watch it a while, being the person I am (I'll watch almost anything for at least 2 or 3 episodes, at least to give it a chance.). If you're watching for story, you'll be sorely disappointed. There's a certain micron-thin level of continuity, but each episode is a pretty self contained experiment in how to most efficiently eradicate the main character's soul.
